Position: Therapist 1

Program: Forensic Program (CTPSB)

Location: Meriden

Salary: $57,736.00/year

Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 1st shift, Monday-Friday

Position Summary:

The Therapist 1 position is in the Criminal Justice service area and provides sex offender assessment, group and individual treatment to adults in community-based treatment settings and collaborates with other team members. The eligible candidate for the Therapist 1 position will work full time, 1st shift, 40 hours, Monday - Friday. Regular & predictable attendance is required in this position. This position is exempt and works under the supervision of Program Management. Ongoing training in current best practices for this field is provided.

Working within Adult Services, the Therapist 1 works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.

Requirements:

Masters Degree in counseling or social work field
Must be eligible for licensure as LMSW, LPCA, MFTA or higher
2 years of related experience
Valid Connecticut drivers license
Regular and predictable attendance is required

Orientation:

If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
