We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Construction Assistant Project Manager in New Haven, CT, to support project planning, coordination, and execution. The ideal Assistant Project Manager will assist in managing timelines, budgets, and communication between stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.

Our client is currently leading the Commercial and Residential Building and Construction industry within the Connecticut, specifically New Haven area. They have been established for 30+ years focusing on Residential and Commercial Build outs, ground up construction and rehabilitations. The client has a fast paced work enviroment with a very strong work cultural allowing for flexibility and competitive pay.



Description

Construction Assistant Project Manager - New Haven, CT

  • Provide project management assistance through completion of projects on time and under budget.
  • Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential.
  • Help create, review, negotiate, and works with the project team to process the meeting minutes, Owner Change Orders, and requests for information
  • Establish, communicate, and implement the Project Schedule
  • Interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the details of the project
  • Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program.
  • Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and fee and pricing decisions

Profile

  • 2+ year of construction experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field recommended
  • Team player with a positive and driven attitude
  • Has interest to estimate change orders, pay apps, etc. but does not need to be able to bid projects from scratch.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast paced work environment
  • Desire to further career as a Project Manager
  • OSHA certified
  • Local to New Haven, CT
