Responsibilities of Accounting Supervisor:

• Understand and ensure compliance with GAAP principles
• Create, analyze, reconcile, and post journal entries assigned to accounts in ERP
• Prepare timely, detailed, and accurate account reconciliations along with accurate journal entries posted into the financial systems.
• Determine the accuracy of balances, figures, calculations, and postings, and investigate and reconcile any differences.
• Maintain documentation for all work products, particularly month-end closing work
• Prepare daily cash reports and forecasts for cash flow reporting
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve
• Understand, propose, and independently establish internal control
• Support the preparation of financial budgets, forecasts, and tax audits
  • Backup for other functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory receiving, and payroll.
  • Abide by all standards of integrity and compliance with all company policies, procedures, and Team Member Handbook.
  • Perform other tasks as may be reasonably

Preferred Experience of Accounting Supervisor:

• BS degree in accounting, finance, or any other relevant degree
• 3-5 years of work experience as an
• In-depth understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), practices, and procedures on manual and automated systems
• Hard-working with a high level of enthusiasm, personal energy, and attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written/oral communication skills

This role is fully on-site in North Branford and offers a salary of $95,000-100,000 depending on experience.
