Physical Therapy Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides clinical services as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to appropriate residents under physician's orders.
Reports to the Physical Therapist information relating to the patient's progress, complication, and/or response to treatment.
Assist Physical Therapist in performing procedures, test, and complex treatments to ensure the safe, effective evaluation and treatment of patients.
Assumes responsibility for continued professional growth and development, by participating in continuing education programs, and other appropriate learning experiences.
Maintains confidentiality of all patients, facility, and physician-related information.
Maintains accurate billing information in accordance with procedures daily.
Attends and participates in interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate to relay clinical findings and recommendations to other members of the rehab team.
Attends and participates in family meetings as appropriate.
Adheres to documentation requirements of Rehabilitation department and the facility.
Conducts staff training/education as appropriate via formal and informal in-services and consultations.
Reviews and follows the policies and procedures outlined by the facility and Rehab Policy and Procedure Manual.
Supervises non-professional staff as appropriate

Physical Therapy Assistant Job Requirements:
Associates Degree in Physical Therapy
Valid CT Physical Therapy Assistant License
Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance with state and federal regulations related to environment of treatment.
Good organization skills
Good written skills
