Job description

You will manage the engineering team, while applying high-level of technical knowledge related to metallurgical, process and manufacturing engineering to define the processes and techniques required for the economical development of super alloy investment castings to specific aerospace and other high standard customer specifications.

Description

  • Responsible for handling product development projects from inception through first article approval utilizing rapid prototype technologies.
  • Develop new products participating in concurrent engineering projects with key customers.
  • Establish techniques, temperatures, dimensional and inspection parameters, and engineering instructions for specific processes. Will review job status, customer specifications and recommended solutions to problems. Must keep various departments informed of engineering alterations or problems. Make recommendations as to possible improvement in procedures and/or methods to increase effectiveness and reduce costs. Assists in various aspects of development and lends technical assistance to various departments.
  • Works in close conjunction with customers, Production Control, Quality Control and other areas on topics related to alloy casting design or tooling. Must also have the willingness and ability to effectively interact with hourly workforce.
  • Regularly directs, instructs, advises, assists and checks associates and subordinates as to schedules, methods, standards of performance, rules/regulations, safety precautions and other matters affecting their parts.
  • Must maintain discipline, morale and professionalism when dealing with staff, customers, department supervisors and hourly employees. Complies with all safety and environmental rules and regulations. Performs other duties, as directed

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science, or Manufacturing Technology discipline, with one to three years' experience; or
  • Associate's degree plus three years minimum experience as an Engineer or Associate Engineer; or:
  • A high school diploma plus five years minimum experience as an Engineer or Associate Engineer. Thorough knowledge of investment casting process and manufacturing methods, techniques, and equipment. Equivalent to complete college/university education or thorough practical, technical and theoretic training in Engineering Discipline.
  • One to three years' management experience required.
  • Investment casting experience, preferably in the structural market
  • Gating and product design experience
  • Shell , wax , and Casting process knowledge
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical, industrial, materials science engineering along with investment casting technology.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills in product engineering.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Project Management skills, milestone creations, manage priorities, report status
  • Able Provide leadership and training to others.
  • Good basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Project
  • Good Blue Print reading, interpretation, CAD modelling.

Job Offer

  • Competitive Salary: $130,000 - $150,000
