Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all bills of materials for sold material handling systems.
  • Support the sizing of material handling systems.
  • Determine appropriate sizing for beside-the-press material handling and auxiliary equipment applications.
  • Create and maintain estimate records for current and future use by engineering and sales personnel.
  • Identify current and future equipment requirements by establishing relationships with potential and existing accounts, providing product, service, and equipment information by answering questions and requests.
  • Collaborate with the engineering department to generate and modify system schematics and layouts for every material handling system proposal and order.
  • Provide overflow support to the engineering department for flow schematics and layouts.
  • Provide overflow support to the engineering department for mechanical, electrical, and control-related tasks.
  • Use product knowledge to accurately size and specify equipment for each customer's application.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs and vendors.
  • Provide input to the product development group for creating new products and making recommendations for modifying existing products to improve features, reduce cost, and/or extend useful service life.
  • Participate in auxiliary seminars and selected shows and exhibitions featuring Wittmann products.
  • Maintain a customer-friendly attitude when dealing with both internal and external customers.
  • Travel 10-20% of the time.

Profile

Requirements:

    • Strong grasp of mechanical and electrical principles
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
    • Expertise in 2D and 3D drafting software, with a preference for SolidWorks and AutoCAD

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred



Experience:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates with experience in the plastics industry or technical system/machine proposal experience
