Job description
StayWell Health Care, a federally qualified community health center, is looking for a full- or part-time Dentist Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - no evenings or weekends - to provide comprehensive dental care and treatment to patients.
StayWell Health Center is an approved National Health Service Corps site.
NHSC Students to Service Loan Repayment Program - Are you a student in your final year of a primary care health professions school? You may qualify for up to $120,000 in tax-free loan repayment for your medical, nursing, or dental school student loans through the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Students to Service Loan Repayment Program. In return, you complete a three-year service commitment in a high-need rural, tribal, or urban community.
Basic Requirements to Apply for NHSC Students to Service Loan Repayment Program:
U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
Enrolled as a full-time student in the last year of a medical, nursing, or dental school with a graduation date during the application year
Pursuing an eligible discipline: MD/DO, DDS/DMD, NP, CNM, or PA
Excellent Benefits:
Newly hired Dentists will receive a $2,500 recruitment incentive upon successful training and completed credentialing, if they remain in good standing for six (6) consecutive months from their hire date (pro-rated).
Newly hired Dentists will receive a $2,500 retention incentive upon remaining in good standing for twelve (12) consecutive months from their hire date (pro-rated).
Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($156,000-$185,000 annually)

Some of the responsibilities of this Dentist include:
Provide routine and emergency dental services , including diagnosis and treatment plans , restorative, periodontal, fixed prosthetics, removable prosthetics, endodontics, pediatric, and oral surgery procedures .
Initiate and interpret x-ray and lab studies .
Administer and prescribe anesthetics and medications .
Conduct follow-up patient care ; refer patients for specialty care as appropriate
Demonstrate high level of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competency in the practice of dentistry and associated charting requirements .
Utilize computers including Dental Health Record efficiently.
Actively participate in community dental programs .
Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services provided consistent with the organization's policies and the standards of the dental profession.
