We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician responsible for general maintenance tasks, boiler operations, and end-of-shift security checks. This role involves maintaining a safe and clean work environment while ensuring proper operation of facility systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general facility maintenance.
  • Conduct painting tasks as needed.
  • Perform boiler blow-downs, conductivity testing, and maintain records of boiler operations.
  • Handle end-of-shift shutdown activities, such as shutting down compressors and securing building access points.
  • Conduct monthly inspections of safety equipment, including spill carts, ladders, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, and sprinkler systems.
  • Manage inventory of janitorial supplies and replace expired light bulbs as needed.
  • Operate the Abcor waste treatment system during discharge cycles.
  • Maintain professionalism and problem-solving skills while interacting with site personnel, vendors, and customers, and respond appropriately to hazardous or urgent situations.
  • Identify abnormal situations and take corrective action as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and policies.
  • Report any suspicious or hazardous conditions to a supervisor immediately.

Qualifications:

  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Forklift certification.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
