Mid-Senior Level Ruby on Rails Developer - Hybrid - Westport, CT
This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days on-site and 2 days remote in Westport, CT. Only local candidates will be considered.

Expected Salary Range: $120k - $170k (depends on experience)

What will the Mid-Senior Level Ruby on Rails Developer do?

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the company's internal and eCommerce applications using Ruby on Rails
  • Collaborate closely with a team of developers to implement features and maintain best practices in coding, testing, and code review processes
  • Engage with stakeholders, including sellers and buyers, to gather feedback and make continuous improvements to the application
  • Contribute to the planned migration of the mobile application from NativeScript to a more modern platform such as Flutter
  • Take an active role in planning and pitching new features and technologies, participating in daily standups and bi-weekly priority meetings

  • Professional experience with Ruby on Rails, including working on production-level applications and contributing to a team environment for at least 2 years
  • Strong understanding of GIT, including basic branching strategies and collaborative coding
  • Experience with SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL
  • Ability to write clean, readable code and perform thorough code reviews, adhering to best practices and automated testing frameworks
