Junior Accountant

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our client's accounting team. As a Junior Accountant, you'll play an essential role in supporting the company's financial operations, helping to ensure accuracy and compliance in all areas of accounting. This position is perfect for someone early in their accounting career, eager to learn, and ready to grow in a supportive environment.

Compensation: Entry level starting at $20/hour but tons of upward movement!
Location: Windsor, CT on site

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with general ledger maintenance, including posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Reconcile bank accounts and assist with month-end close activities as a Junior Accountant.
• Help prepare financial statements and reports for internal review.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation as needed.
• Collaborate with the senior accounting team on special projects and process improvements.
• Ensure all accounting records are maintained and organized in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience as a Junior Accountant or in a similar role.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and general ledger functions.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting field.
