The Field Engineer supports the Project Engineer and Project Superintendent with production tracking, operational planning, communication, organization, and tracking project data.

Pay 80k-110k DOE Full benefits

Regular Job Duties:


  • Collaborate with foremen and superintendents to track and analyze work plans for field operations efficiency.
  • Develop, maintain, and report daily quantities installed and performed.
  • Analyze and compare budgeted vs. actual production rates and material yield.
  • Perform quantity take-offs from plans and compare weekly field quantities to plan quantities.
  • Assist in developing Work Activity Plans.
  • Provide monthly quantity reports for owner verification and billing.
  • Ensure field work meets project standards and specifications.
  • Support project engineers and superintendents as needed.
  • Maintain and organize Plan Drawings, Revisions, and As-Builts.
  • Maintain all Project Logs.
  • Monitor and compare quantities ordered with budgeted materials.
  • Maintain the Notevault Diary and provide schedule updates.
  • Control and initiate Field Operations Reports.
  • Develop Look Ahead Schedules with the project superintendent.
  • Present information effectively to managers and employees.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, manuals, contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Primavera 3 and 6.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to multi-task, be a self-starter, and have a passion for construction.
  • Understanding of basic algebra, geometry, and Construction Math concepts.
  • Valid driver's license for occasional travel.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in various forms.
  • Moderate physical activity with some exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to maneuver around construction sites.
