BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Application Developer / WT: Mainframe Developer Lead for an opportunity in Newark DE 19713 - Hybrid Position

Position Title: Application Developer / WT: Mainframe Developer Lead

Location: Newark DE 19713 - Hybrid Position (3 Days Onsite)

Anticipated Start Date: August

Expected Duration: 16+ months contract (with possible extension)

Job Type: Contract, 40 HRS WEEKLY, Hybrid

Pay Range: $45/Hr - $50/Hr on W2

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:

-Must-have skills:

1. Cobol Mainframe

2. Apache Kafka

3.IBM DB2

Years of experience required: 5+ YEO

Responsibilities:

As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements. You will be expected to be a subject matter expert (SME), collaborate and manage the team to perform, and make team decisions. Additionally, you will engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions, as well as provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams. Advanced proficiency in Cobol Mainframe is required. Apache Kafka, Apache Cassandra, AS/400 COBOL 400 (Programming Language), and IBM Db2 are recommended skills for this role, all with advanced proficiency.

- Develop innovative solutions to meet business process and application requirements

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful application development

- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
