Koniag Professional Services, LLC is looking for a professional Acquisition Specialist SME (Subject Matter Expert) to be part of a team that will be charged with meeting or exceeding the needs of a government client. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: Assist with establishing goals, objectives, timelines, and critical indicators to track and measure progress. Develop policies, procedures, and guidelines, support repeatable and sustainable work activities. Create templates, job aids, checklists, work instructions and learning materials. Develop and facilitate acquisitions/financial assistance training. Identify the activities and execute implementation of business processes in support of specialized projects. Track progress and performance, and incorporate feedback and lessons learned to enhance and modify documentation and training efforts accordingly. Works collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams Provide direct analysis and recommendations as required regarding any acquisition or related matters. Provides development of acquisition strategy. Provides strategic consulting services including advice and assistance to functional area experts on contractual matters in the acquisition planning stages as well as for the management of existing awarded contracts. Leads budget execution and formulation, analyzing and reporting critical financial data, earned value management, acquisition support and project business portfolio management tasks. Provides guidance and consulting support in the areas of technical/strategic business planning, analysis, cost studies, cost/benefit analysis, acquisition planning and strategy, contract management, management analysis, organizational reengineering, project management, and financial analysis. Supports documentation development for acquisition planning and project management from mission analysis and requirements generation through design, development, production, and deployment. Provides support for integrated consulting services and management or strategy consulting, including evaluations, studies, and analyses. Plans, prepares, tracks, and maintains acquisition lifecycle documentation. Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: FAC-C or DAWIA Level III Certified in Contracting or equivalent (i.e. CPCM or CFCM) Highly developed writing and verbal communications skills are required. Ability to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels. Thorough knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), supplements and other procurement regulations, policies, and procedures. Possess working knowledge of MS Office or XP software (e.g. Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.) as well as Oracle Based Programs and PeopleSoft Programs. Public Trust Clearance Education: BS or BA degree and 15 years' experience or an MS degree and 10 years' experience Working Environment & Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
