In this vital role you wil be part of the Coverage & Pricing Intelligence product team that is focused on developing new deal modeling and forecasting technology capabilities, Pharmacy and Medical - Payer and Provider Contracting and ASP Module, to increase revenue opportunities in the US market and beyond for Amgen's products. This is a cross-functional team that in collaboration with other GCO DTI teams will develop and mature new digital product capabilities as part of the highly visible Gross-to-Net Transformation initiative.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Software Development Engineer III at Amgen, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of Anaplan models and applications to meet business objectives, providing expert Anaplan Model Builder guidance throughout the process.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams, develop Anaplan models, evaluate emerging technologies AI/ML, and provide guidance on system design, models, and implementation.
Extensive experience in Anaplan system building, strong technical expertise, and ability to drive innovation, automation, and AI/ML to drive technological advancements.
Be an interdisciplinary team member who is innovative, accountable, reliable, and able to thrive in a constantly evolving environment.
Lead the design, prototype, build, testing, implementation and DevOps of Coverage & Pricing's Deal Modeling, Forecasting and Analytics Products on GCO's AWS Data Lake and Anaplan platforms.
Translate existing spreadsheets and business problems into sophisticated Anaplan multi-dimensional models.
Modify existing models as part of a connected solution, optimization, or to incorporate new functionality.
Set up standard processes and documentation for Anaplan models.
Assist in maintaining existing models, providing design guidance, and drive Anaplan best practices for large initiatives.
Work with colleagues to understand data requirements and associated calculation logic, and translate data and calculation requirements into model designs.
Follow Amgens governance processes, procedures, specifications, design controls, and applicable compliance standards and guidance documents.
Work across teams to support the technology stack of Commercial's Coverage, Contracting and Pricing products on standard City Plan platforms (Model N, SAP, Salesforce, GDNA, Anaplan, AWS Redshift/Altery/Tableau).

Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degreeOR
Masters degree and 2 years of development/engineering experience
OrBachelors degree and 4 years of development/engineering experience
OrAssociates degree and 8 years of development/engineering experience
OrHigh school diploma / GED and 10 years of development/engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications:Certified Anaplan Model Builder (Level 1, 2, 3, and The Anaplan Way)
3+ years of hands on experience in Anaplan model building and end-to-end Anaplan deployment experience
3+ years of experience with one or more programming languages, such as Python, Scala, R or Java.
Extensive experience designing and building large-scale data platforms and systems including AI solutions
Strong experience of leading multi-dimensional model development on the Anaplan platform, including configuration of existing models, incorporating new functionality, and optimizing modeling solutions
Experience with ALM and knowledge of python scripting and REST APIs
Experience in semantic data layers or data lake design
Familiar with Machine Learning life cycle, with knowledge of feature stores, MLflow, model registries, model deployment, model serving, and model monitoring
Familiar with PySpark and data processing libraries, machine learning frameworks (like Tensorflow, Keras or PyTorch), and other machine learning libraries
Experience in leading teams through uncertainty and ambiguity in a product team environment.
Experience working in Agile teams & DevOps frameworks (Jenkins, JIRA, GitHub) and designing CI/CD processes
Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge and learn platforms, languages, tools, and technologies
Certification in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
