Job description

Duties As a Audiovisual Production Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Use in-house audiovisual (AV) production equipment for internal and external communication products, including operations, lighting, directing on-screen talent, and other Coordinate and schedule the logistics for projects, production elements, and final product deliveries; Develop, or aid in developing, informational, educational, or other materials appropriate for video, AV, or web-based formats; Draft concept, or assist in the development of a concept, for a submitted project. Work with end-users aiding and guidance in the development of the project; Draft a script and develops a storyboard appropriate to the production. Develop budget estimates and specifications required by the project for successful completion; and Provide or assist in providing organization and scheduling of the productions, ensures the adherence to developed schedules, screens prospective talent and plans for the shoot requirements and location(s). In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications below, you must also possess one (1) of the following to satisfy the Individual Occupational Requirement for the GS-1071 job series. Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position. OR Specialized Experience: Experience in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes work directly connected with the production aspects of the field of the position to be filled. You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Producing, directing, and editing aspects of audiovisual production; Overseeing program operations and ensuring compliance; Managing and operating broadcast facilities during use; Producing programs in the field.
