Impactful Work: Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense. Key Responsibilities: Creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering.
Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product.
Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards.
Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation.
May work with system management including file maintenance, backup, and storage.
Prepare and log engineering drawings (process spec and tooling drawings)
Familiar with MAC OS Systems and experience operating AutoCAD 2021 and 2022
Experience revising drawings based on instructions from engineers or architects.
Experience Microsoft tools such as excel.
Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, blueprints, product specifications, and geometric dimensioning tolerance (GD&T), Wide Diagrams, flow plans, network diagrams. Work Environment: Location: Landover MD On-site
Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20% Travel
Working Hours: Standard 40 hour per week Qualifications : Required: Clearance: Top Secret with SCI
High School Diploma/GED and five (5) to six (6) years of relevant experience. Desired: Graduate from an accredited technical trade-craft school is highly preferred.
CompTIA certifications such as Network+, A+ or security+ is highly desired.
Experience with SolidWorks Basic Compensation: $80,000 to $85,000 This range is for the Maryland area only The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
