Construction Project Manager
Washington, DC (onsite)
Duration: 10/12/2024 - 01/27/2025 (Potential to convert to perm)

Client is seeking a Construction Project Manager for a 3-month contract in Washington, DC, starting immediately. This role involves managing multiple facets of project management for a university's construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budget, schedule, procurement, quality, safety, and risk with minimal oversight.
• Engage directly with clients and communicate effectively, elevating issues as needed.
• Demonstrate flexibility in problem-solving and maintain focus on project goals.
• Ensure thorough follow-up and management throughout all project phases.
• Be available for occasional weekend work as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management; general contractor experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Project Management or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Adobe; Bluebeam experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, self-starter, and excellent communication abilities.
• Experience in quality improvement, ground-up construction, HVAC, and mechanical/electrical projects is beneficial.
• Ability to manage large volumes of work effectively.
