Job description

Cape Fox is seeking a highly qualified Content Strategist (CS) to join our team in support of a government customer. This position is contingent upon award. The CS provides web content strategy services in support of the Indian Affairs' strategic goal, including the following: Interacts with Federal employees and subject matter experts (SME) to provide guidance and direction for specific sub-tasks of a project. Supports the completion of project-specific tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints. Develops strategic approaches to improve program effectiveness, implement efficient work processes, and ensure quality assurance. Serves as the point of contact for content strategy, creative services, marketing/communications, information management and print/production management. Meets with Federal offices regularly to ensure work meets/exceeds objectives, discuss initiatives, and set priorities. Monitors resources as necessary to complete duties in accordance with scheduled milestones and budgetary constraints. Performs quality checks of all work products. Core Duties: Maintain adherence to Section 508 accessibility, plain-language needs and other federal requirements for government websites Improve content and user experience, including: Assist with defining key brand messages for content Help establish content workflow, management and governance Create and disseminate content standards documents, such as style, tone of voice, and accessibility guidelines Prioritize, plan, deliver, promote and maintain content for multiple channels and audiences Brief colleagues and delegate content tasks Conduct stakeholder interviews Create and work with audience personas Map content to stages in the user journey Perform content audits and keep a detailed and up-to-date inventory Identify gaps and opportunities in content Find opportunities to rework and reuse existing content Contribute to the IA content model, and give recommendations for taxonomy and metadata Optimize content in line with SEO best practices, carry out keyword research Create and manage editorial calendars Publishing to Content Management Systems Use analytics tools to monitor content traffic, engagement, leads and conversions after content is published Determine content vision and restructuring needs for major new content initiatives Improve how content is organized in the content management system Facilitate content strategy workshops and brainstorming sessions on developing content and content services Brainstorm and develop original creative content ideas Write digital and social content, including social media posts, e-mail, web site/mobile content, and web feature articles Develop a content strategy based on requirements and sources Work collaboratively across all disciplines including User Experience (UX), Project Management, Development, Analytics, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Creative. Demonstrate in-depth understanding of User Experience and Information Architecture Leverage an aptitude for analytics with the ability to uncover key insights regarding the brand's goals and how they translate to overall brand and messaging strategy Act as a strategic planner and designer who understands what it takes to build and support a long-term goal for content Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills and with an ability to present to stakeholders with confidence Work within a team under multiple deadlines while maintaining excellent communication and attention to detail Utilize experience with corporate environments/cultures with numerous stakeholders Travel Requirements 0 - 10% Salary Grade Job Requirements Two (2) + years of experience in related industry and functional area Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Have an in-depth knowledge of developing content strategies with Federal employees, subject matter experts (SME), and other professionals Ability to oversee content requirements and create content strategy deliverables across a project life cycle Ability to perform content audits (qualitative analyses of all the content on a network of sites and social media accounts) as well as gap analysis. Strong desire and ability to work creatively and analytically with attention to detail Ability to communicateinformation and ideas in speaking and writing so others will understand Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0) and AA level of conformance is desired Ability to empathize with the user to objectively analyze user content needs Strong storytelling skills to create engaging content that properly maps to the content and user journey. Ability to think in a data-driven mindset to help strengthen content credibility with the appropriate data points Mustbe a United States Citizen Must be able to pass a Tier 1 Background Investigation and obtain Public Trust Category Communications Location Remote (Virtual) - US - US (Primary) Education Bachelor's Degree
