Job description
Our client, a mission-driven philanthropic association, is seeking a Director of Member & Foundation Relations to spearhead all member-related initiatives!
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic plans and initiatives to grow the membership base, increase engagement, and encourage member renewals.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to outline revenue goals and strategic objectives.
- Identify, cultivate, and steward important relationships with institutional members, funders, and philanthropists.
- Support event programs through creating sponsorships opportunities, tracking revenue, and monitoring benefit delivery.
- Prepare internal and external communications, contributing to presentations, newsletters, and proposals.
- Manage different grants processes including: securing grant funding, preparing proposals, and handling grant administration.
- Review and track monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Utilize and maintain member information and reports within Salesforce.
- Additional organizational and member-focused responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive development experience (fundraising, membership recruitment, grant management) is required.
- A bachelors degree is preferred, but not required.
- Proficient fully utilizing a CRM, Salesforce experience is preferred.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service attitude.
- Passionate about civic participation and engagement.
Compensation & Additional Information:
- Salary range of $100K-$110K, DOE.
- This role is fully remote with a monthly in-person meeting(s) in the DC-area.
- Starting in 2025, this organization will operate on a 4-day work week!
- Ability to travel for additional meetings or events.
