Position Overview

Bold Impact is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Event Helper to support the successful execution of the "Black Women in Foreign Policy Winning Fellowships & Residencies Workshop." This engaging workshop will take place at Vital Voices in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 6 PM to 8 PM. This is a one-time on-site role that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an event focused on empowering Black women in the field of foreign policy.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Setup and Breakdown:

- Assist with the setup of the event space, ensuring all materials and equipment are in place.
- Help with post-event cleanup and breakdown, ensuring the venue is returned to its original condition.

Guest Assistance:

- Welcome and check-in attendees as they arrive, providing them with event materials.
- Provide directions and information to guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout the event.

Logistical Support:

- Coordinate with event organizers to ensure the smooth flow of the event schedule.
- Assist speakers and presenters with any technical or logistical needs, such as setting up presentations.

Problem-Solving:

- Be proactive in identifying and addressing any issues that may arise during the event, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.

Qualifications:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Previous experience in event assistance or customer service is a plus.
- A passion for supporting initiatives that empower women and promote diversity in foreign policy.
