Job description
TJFACT is seeking to hire a well-qualified Facility Management Specialist to join our team to support our DHS-OIG client in Washington DC. The Facility Management Specialist will provide advisory services to management, technical, and supervisory personnel at OIG regarding asset management programs nationwide, and the development, acquisition, maintenance, disposal, management, and use of facilities and real property. Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist ASR implement facility acquisitions, renovations, relocations, and close-outs and implement an enterprise-wide asset management program to ensure employees are knowledgeable, trained, and equipped to control and account for government property throughout its lifecycle.
• Assist ASR develop, manage, and administer the OIG asset management program (personal and real property).
• Ensure, upon acquisition, designated property is recorded in the system of record, properly managed, inventoried, and assigned through end-of-life disposition.
• Provide advisory services to management, technical, and supervisory personnel at OIG regarding asset management programs nationwide, and the development, acquisition, maintenance, disposal, management, and use of facilities and real property.
• Advise on the resolution of critical or unusual problems for a broad range of complex, frequent/long-term facilities and asset management projects in situations affecting agency-wide operations.
• Help assign, track, and manage the workspace allocation of OIG employees and tenants and ensure the prompt resolution of problems relating to workspace assignment. • Evaluate equipment, furnishings, and fixtures to recommend improvements, enhancements, and changes necessary to ensure professional, efficient, and effective workspaces accommodate customer requirements and participates with property custodians and/or property officials to conduct the physical inspection of property, identify the property condition, and identify deficiencies, assists with the coordination and management of implementing the asset management program, including the identification, classification, inventory management, utilization, and disposal of surplus property.
• Help identify and prepare OIG facilities for the infrastructure required to support zero-emission fleet vehicles.
• Assist management services with projects related to the maintenance, repair and modernization of OIG facilities' infrastructure, equipment, and real property. Use automated personal property systems to maintain required accounts, records, and controls and provide guidance, instruction, and training to other property program officials assigned the responsibility to track, account, or control USG property.
• Help evaluate short and long-term asset management program missions, goals, objectives, schedules, and functional initiatives to meet new or changing programs, policies, legislation, or funding requirements. Required Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, construction, engineering, logistics, or public administration;
• Five (5) to seven (7) years of asset management (real and/or personal property) in the federal sector applying expert knowledge of federal leasing, construction techniques, enterprise asset management, and workspace allocation;
• National Property Management Association (NPMA) Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM) or Certified Property Professional Administrator (CPPA);
• Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of real and personal property management, commercial and government facility lease management, condition assessments, maintenance operations, repairs, and construction/renovation.
• Active Security Clearance Required
