Job description

Sayres Defense is looking for a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to support corporate operations in the Washington, DC region. Successful candidate must live in the proximity of Washington, DC and able to be routinely onsite. Roles and Responsibilities Under the direction of the Corporate Facility Security Officer, ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) by supporting contract compliance, updating/refreshing training, participating in internal and external assessments, and maintaining the security posture of Sayres. Daily activities may include: Ensuring security related corporate policies and procedures are adhered to.
Supporting security and suitability processing by obtaining and coordinating documents and processing applications through application systems.
Supporting security-related onboarding and training for staff.
Processing Visit Access Requests (VARs) and/or Interagency Clearance Verification Forms for personnel to attend classified meetings.
Preparing DD254s for flow down to subcontractors.
Supporting security incident/violation investigation and reporting.
Submitting adverse information reports.
Conducting foreign travel briefings and debriefings and submitting reports in the system of record.
Supporting the Insider Threat Program.
Supporting HR, facilities manager, and IT to maintain the overarching security posture of Sayres.
Preferable Skills / Experience: At least 2 years of experience supporting industrial security activities.
Familiarity with security systems of record such as DISS, NBIS, NISS, and SWFT.
Completion of the CDSE FSO curriculum for possessing facilities.
Clearance: Active Secret security clearance is required with the ability to receive and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
