Our mission is to provide value-added solutions that contribute to the success of government agencies, small businesses, and independent professionals by leveraging the skill and talent our most valuable resources - our people Required: Must be a United States Citizen Clearance Level: Secret POSITION OBJECTIVE The objective is to provide a wide variety of detailed financial and accounting activities in support of a Government client. Efforts include support in all aspects of accounting: financial statements; reconciliation of budgetary and proprietary accounts; vendor pay operations; processing and maintenance of commitments and obligations; financial improvement and audit readiness; financial and accounting compliance; funds management and control; financial reporting and internal control; clients financial management and accounting systems; and support for maintaining and operating the purchase and travel card programs to support the clients requirements world-wide. RESPONSIBILITIES Performs complex financial analyses including budgeting, trend analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling; develops and implements capitalization methods, and reviews journal entries to meet business needs.
Support the identification and reporting on programmatic, operational, reporting and/or policy problems.
Collects budget, midyear forecast and other financial information; interprets, summarizes, and uploads forecast information to financial systems to provide information about profit and loss; may provide budget assistance to other department management.
Analyzes budget, midyear forecast and other financial information and prepares presentations with recommendations to senior management and corporate office; communicates with management and the corporate office regarding financial issues.
Develops financial controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements.
Makes recommendations for process or procedural changes, including training documentation and presentation to other organizations.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ ABILITIES Ability to work independently, as well as, the ability to lead teams
Good working knowledge and understanding of Federal Government appropriations.
Experience applying Federal financial guidelines and accounting rules and principles with minimal oversight
Display professional presentation skills
Strong organization and time management skills
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient computer and business solutions software skills
Knowledge of working as a contractor on government projects
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree, minimum of 3 years related work experience, preparing and analyzing plans, forecasts, and report; developing plans, facilitating and supporting complex methodology developing and evaluating business processes, procedures, and reengineering; identifying best practices; evaluating and/or writing complex policies and reports or other documents Tuba Group, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
