Line Manager (Support Team) Remote (Preferred in the Washington DC Metro Area) Marathon TS is seeking a Line Manager on the Support Team to provide value to end users by supporting product delivery within the EHR, ensuring that the scope, delivery, and execution of Product Line activities are in line with the Program's objectives to enhance the delivery of care. This person will assist the Portfolio Management, Admin, and Strategy and Process Improvement teams who are supporting the product teams to deliver value to end users. This person will assist the Team Coordinators across these functions to ensure the teams' goals are aligned with the overall product strategy of the organization. This person will provide input into scheduling, staff management, and communication with the broader organization. This person will have decision rights to approve resources within the Supporting Functions to support the organizational vision and purpose as defined by the Supporting Functions Team Coordinator. Success in this role looks like having a pulse on all operations within the supporting functions (Portfolio Management, Administration, and Strategy & Process Improvement). Strong candidates will ensure the right teams are engaging with the products and platforms as appropriate and monitor day-to-day operations, escalating risks to minimize disruption in product delivery when needed. This person should be able to inspire and empower the Supporting Function team members to deliver against their respective priorities and KPIs, serve as SMEs for Portfolio Management, Administration, and Strategy & Process Improvement, keep up to date with industry best practices, and consolidate and incorporate Lessons Learned. In addition, this person should drive work independently, accurately prioritize responsibilities, and develop informed recommendations. This role will work with other stakeholders including counterparts in Products and Platforms to ensure ways of working are coordinated, leverage the right people, processes, and tools to support the delivery of products across the product lifecycle, and collaborate with external stakeholders (vendors, other DOD partners) to ensure delivery of products coordinates with the proper points of contact. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Summary of responsibilities: Assist Team Coordinators in supporting product ecosystem to ensure Product Line and Product Managers are meeting end user needs Facilitate communication within supporting functions to ensure visibility across operations Provide input into scheduling, staff management, and communication with the broader organization Detailed responsibilities: Assist Team Coordinators in supporting product ecosystem to ensure Product Line and Product Managers are meeting end user needs Regularly engage with Team Coordinators to understand their specific challenges and requirements in supporting the product development process, ensuring alignment with organization's strategic objectives Collaborate with Team Coordinators to ensure smooth execution of product updates, providing support in resolving any bottlenecks or issues that arise during the process Facilitate communication within Supporting Functions to ensure visibility across operations Facilitate seamless communication and information sharing between Supporting Functions, such as Portfolio Management, Administration, and Strategy & Process Improvement, to promote a cohesive and unified approach to organizational goals Promote knowledge sharing, address challenges, and foster a deeper understanding of each team's role in contributing to overall operational success Provide input into scheduling, staff management, and communication with the broader organization Contribute to developing effective communication strategies that foster transparency and engagement with the broader organization, promoting a cohesive and informed work environment Offer valuable insights and suggestions to improve scheduling efficiency, ensuring optimal resource allocation and smooth coordination between teams to meet operational demands effectively BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: 5 years of experience leading teams PREFERRED: Prior Defense Health Agency (DHA) or government healthcare experience Background in Clinical Informatics Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred Proficient computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Teams U.S. citizenship KEY COMPETENCIES: Prior experience in Product Management with emphasis on end-to-end lifecycle management (design, testing, implementation) Knowledge of government policies and procedures related to product development and deployment Strong project management skills Ability to hold others accountable and push back when necessary Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through is a must; performs tasks with high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines Ability to handle competing priorities and work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment Ability to work independently, set priorities, plan workflow, and take initiative Ability to team with others and to persuade effectively, influence and negotiate, as appropriate Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop effective working relationships with staff while demonstrating a positive, personal and professional image; highly responsive Ability to analyze and present data in a meaningful way Project self-confidence, authority, and enthusiasm Flexible, positive team player; outstanding customer service orientation Ability to handle difficult situations with poise and tact, maintain confidentiality at all times, and exhibit good judgment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Marathon TS is committed to the development of a creative, diverse and inclusive work environment.
