Job description
Works under the direction of a Project Manager and/or Deputy Director. For very large cases, may be directly responsible for all work in a major task area. For example, on a case involving document discovery of millions of pages, a Project Supervisor may be responsible for all document discovery/document collection activities for the case. Alternatively, may assist several Project Managers on a multitude of smaller cases simultaneously. For example, the Project Supervisor may be responsible for coordinating document review in one case, while simultaneously overseeing data intake and processing in another. Responsible for managing subcontractor staff and vendors, to include onboarding, regular engagement, reporting, and invoicing activities. Manage small teams of legal professionals, both embedded with attorney teams and at our document center. To include employee relations, timekeeping, monitoring of routine leave and benefit questions, etc. Perform data intake tasks related to eDiscovery data processing and loading. Create Work Orders in Jira and other ticketing systems. Track eDiscovery data loads, provide status updates, and provide standard or ad hoc reports as requested and upon completion of work. Assist with ad-hoc eDiscovery tasks in Relativity and other related systems. Perform QC checks in various phases of eDiscovery work. Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers, team members, and serve as a trusted partner to DOJ client(s). This position is expected to regularly be onsite for performing duties at the Document Center and for routine meetings with customer Points of Contact. Regularly meets and communicates with customers, staff, and subcontractors. This includes formal reporting of case status, proposals, and customer engagements, as well as routine and informal check-ins and monitoring communications to ensure open sharing of information amongst all relevant parties. Qualifications: Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT (Moderate Risk Public Trust) facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location. At least two (2) years of progressively more responsible experience on major litigation support projects, including at least one year of supervisory experience, including proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys. Demonstrated ability to oversee and coordinate numerous complex and time-critical litigation support activities simultaneously, including technical/data processing support activities. Requires in-depth knowledge of litigation support; excellent writing skills; and excellent oral communication skills. Must be able to anticipate litigation support needs and develop and execute detailed plans for addressing needs. Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures required. Requires hands-on familiarity with the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, data processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, and internet and server-based databases and other applications, such as Relativity, Everlaw, Casepoint, Brainspace, etc. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Need to be proactive, organized and detail oriented. Undergraduate degree required. Substantial significant experience may in some cases be substituted for degree requirement. Preferred Qualifications: Experience performing document review, creating searches, creating STRs, creating coding layouts, in Relativity. Prior team lead experience on a document review project. Experience with Continuous Active Learning (CAL), Technology Assisted Review (TAR), and Analytics in Relativity or similar eDiscovery platform. Law degree, technical certification, or other pertinent graduate degree preferred. Paralegal experience helpful.
