Job description
Responsibilities Noblis MSD is hiring a logistician to support the Guided Missile Frigate (FFG) Program Office. Logisticians integrate the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments. Logisticians are responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance. The Logistician prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped. Responsibilities for the Logistician position will include: Support maintenance of configuration-controlled Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and GFI listings and associated Detail Design & Construction (DD&C) attachments. Assist in the development, routing, tracking and management of Ship Project Directives (SPDs) for the GFE suite of equipment. Assist in tracking GFE and GFI deliverable requirements from Navy Participating Acquisition Resource Managers (PARMs). Assist with maintaining a database of GFE contractual requirements, tracking Schedules, Best Estimated Delivery Dates (BEDDs), Shipyard Requested Delivery Dates (RDDs), and In-Yard Received date by system and by hull. Provide GFE Financial Management subject matter expertise in the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) for GFE. Assist in coordinating annual GFE cost data calls, compiling cost estimates, and conducting GFE cost requirement analysis and execution reviews. Provide on-site liaison support with the shipbuilder to assist with receipt of GFE material and work with the shipbuilder to identify incoming shipments, track shortages, research and answer Shipbuilder submitted exceptions, discrepancies, and rejects of receipts. Provide Continuous onsite support at the construction shipyard in the form of subject matter expertise in Testing and Trial Project Management, Waterfront Testing, and Test & Trials, and Shipboard Certifications including onsite support at the construction shipyard to assist PMS 515 and Supervisor of Ships (SUPSHIP) personnel. Support review and adjudication of shipyard developed testing documentation. Provide review and interpret detailed Ship Specification to ensure ship systems are designed/built/tested in accordance with the requirements. Advise on matters related to environmental regulations and requirements to ensure compliance with marine mammal protective measures during sonar testing, ship trials, ships movements and firing events. Provide trial card tracking, generation, and management support; perform functions for ship tests, compartment completion inspections, certifications and trials. Participate in at-sea ship trials and trial card pre-screening. Conduct trial card recording, tracking, coding, trend analysis and engineering analysis using Technical Support Management (TSM) or another similar automated information system provided by the Government. Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package. Posted Salary Range USD $67,800.00 - USD $105,975.00 /Yr.
