Responsibilities Peraton has an upcoming need for a Network Engineer/ VoIP Engineer in Washington, DC. Require experience with VoIP, inbound and outbound voice networks, experience with network protocols and circuit provisioning and standards, understanding of LAN protocols. Familiarity with VoIP troubleshooting methods utilizing tools, such as Cisco RTMT or Wireshark Cisco VoIP experience (phone configuration, dial plan, CUCM, CER, Unity Connection, Call Manager, etc.)
Ensure incident tickets are attended to in a timely manner, escalated as appropriate, and closed with proper documentation.
Proven ability to plan, investigate, design and implement voice networks.
Ability to effectively interact with customers to discuss needs and provide solutions.
Manage and Maintain the Voice and Video Infrastructure.
Analyze and monitor Call Quality and Voice issues.
Strong background and experience in Tier 1 functions of work.
Excellent Customer Service skills.
Solid Troubleshooting Capabilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Previous experience with Remedy, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing system is helpful.
Strong team player.Qualifications 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD This position requires United States Citizenship and an active Public Trust or the eligibility to apply for/obtain a Clearance. Target Salary Range $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
