Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, a desire to grow their practice,
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess motor skills, strength, balance, coordination and mobility in a variety of pediatric diagnosis.
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's specific needs and goals, incorporating evidence-based practice and therapeutic techniques.
Provide direct therapy one on one therapy sessions to improve motor function, enhance mobility and function.
Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.
Educate parents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, activities, and strategies to facilitate progress and carry over therapeutic interventions at home and in school environments.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and adhere to regulatory and ethical standards of practice.
Participate in team meetings, training, and continuing education opportunities.
Stay current with advances in pediatric physical therapy research, techniques, and best practices through continuing education and professional development activities.

Required Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Washington DC; Maryland and Virginia a plus
Prior experience in pediatric physical therapy settings, with a strong understanding of developmental milestones and pediatric conditions affecting motor function.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Dedication to providing compassionate care, advocacy for pediatric patients, and commitment to ethical standards in healthcare practice.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an outpatient or clinical setting.
Experience and or willingness to be trained in DMI, NDT, and the intensive model highly desired

Working Hours and Conditions:
Flexible working hours, with options for full-time and part-time positions.
Primarily outpatient setting with occasional opportunities for community outreach and education.
Evenings and Saturdays availability are highly desired
This position requires a proactive approach to developing and expanding your client caseload. You will have the opportunity to build relationships with referring physicians, schools, and community organizations, which are crucial for expanding your practice in pediatric physical therapy. We encourage candidates who are self-motivated, adaptable, and enthusiastic about taking initiative to apply for this role.

Compensation:
Initial contract is 1099 as caseload builds to full time (20-25 hours)
