Job description

MELE Associates, Inc. is seeking to add an experienced Project Monitor I team member to support the Department of Energy (DOE) State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP). The Project Monitor position is located at the Department of Energy Forrestal Building, Washington, DC. This full-time position is contingent upon contract award. Essential Functions: Provide engineering, technical, and programmatic support for active projects.
Monitor projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
Perform standard technical evaluations to identify corrective actions as needed and recommend refined project requirements. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in engineering, business administration, environmental sciences or related discipline that provides the functional skills to perform the functions and responsibilities described in the position description is required. Four (4) years of relevant education/experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree to meet the minimum education requirements.
Four (4) years of relevant Federal Government experience (preferably DOE) is required.
Experience with financial assistance documentation disciplines and financial tracking systems is required.
Experience in documentation disciplines, including, but is not limited to, technical writing, editing, layout, document development and production, and desktop publishing.
Possesses a basic knowledge of modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, operational mathematics techniques, and other economic disciplines and can utilize them in determining solutions.
Experience is required in applying operational research principles to investigate, analyze, plan, develop, implement, or evaluate systems.
The ability to obtain/maintain a DOE L or Q clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Current and active DOE Q Clearance.
Master's degree in engineering, business administration, environmental sciences or related discipline. This may substitute two (2) years of experience in fulfillment of the minimum experience requirement. This position is contingent upon contract award. Location: This is a full-time position in Washington, DC 20585, USA Telework options are available with a requirement to be in the office at least three days a week, based on the level of in-person meetings and office needs.
