Federal Project - Applicant must be a United States Citizen with Active or Interim Secret Clearance Baer is looking for an SAP Technical Integration Consultant for a 12+ month Federal remote project. Title:SAP Technical Integration Consultant Location:Remote(Must be based in US) Duration:12+ months Alignment:W2 or C2C (Vendors Not Permitted) Project Overview: Our client is leading the technical upgrade of their critical Financial and Procurement systems for a major branch of the Department of Defense (DoD), transitioning from SAP ECC to S4 HANA. The project focuses on a fit-to-standard approach, minimizing customizations and aligning with S4 HANA's standard configuration. Key efforts include defining requirements for the upgrade and supporting business process re-engineering. Description: We are looking for an SAP Technical Integration Consultant with to assist with technical infrastructure inquires and support the clients overall technical solution. Responsibilities include: Providing expertise in S4 HANA standards, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards. Design, develop, and implement integration strategies using tools like MuleSoft and SAP BTP to ensure seamless data flow between SAP and non-SAP systems. Providing data-driven recommendations on S4 HANA implementations, to include optimal enterprise structure and implementation sequencing that supports the clients operations. Develop, test, and deploy APIs to facilitate communication between various SAP modules and third-party applications. Manage and secure API connections, especially in environments where MuleSoft is used for external integrations and SAP BTP for SAP-specific integrations. Configure and manage middleware components, including SAP Process Orchestration (PO), SAP Integration Suite (on BTP), or other platforms as required. Monitor middleware performance and optimize configurations for the new S4HANA environment. Resolve issues related to connectivity, data transformation, and integration errors during the S4 HANA upgrade. Provide ongoing support to ensure the stability of integrations post-migration, working closely with infrastructure and application teams. Assist the data migration team by ensuring that integration layers can support data movement, particularly for master and transactional data. Providing recommendations for and implementing use of appropriate accelerators and technologies for the migration to S4 HANA, to include guidance on data migration strategies and techniques, ensuring data quality improvement. Requirements: Proficiency in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for SAP cloud integrations. Experience with MuleSoft for non-SAP integrations, and understanding of middleware tools like SAP PO, SAP CPI, or other Integration Suite platforms. Solid understanding of network and infrastructure requirements for SAP environments, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP). In-depth knowledge of SAP ECC and S4HANA architecture, especially in areas related to data migration, system configuration, and module interactions. Familiarity with SAP modules and how they interact with external systems (e.g., FI, MM, SD, etc.). Skilled in REST and SOAP API design, API management, and security practices. Familiarity with API integration tools, connectors, and adapters for both SAP and non-SAP environments. Experience deploying functional and technical subject-matter expertise in a particular relevant field in support of State or Federal Government agencies or large, complex companies (greater than 1,000) employees. 9+ years of relevant SAP experience including 6 years of experience leading business systems modernization/sustainment and related projects. Bachelor's Degree in appropriate technical field from an accredited institution. An additional (2) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Professional IT Certification - CISA (or similar) or Certification in one or more relevant SAP Modules. Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Public Sector, or government regulated industry experience (i.e.: Aerospace & Defense) experience required. Interim or Active Secret Clearance required.
