Job description

My client is an award winning general contractor seeking a commercial construction Senior Estimator to work alongside the Vthe Director of Estimating. My client works of on a variety of projects from Design Build to Tenant Interiors, ranging from 1M-60M. My client is seeking an estimator with experience estimating divisions, but not limited to, 2-5 and 14-16. The Senior Estimator will also be responsible with growing the estimating department.

My client is an award winning mid size commercial general contractor, solely operating in the DC Proper market. My client currently does over 100M in annual revenue in just DC Proper alone, working on a variety of projects from New Construction Design Build to Tenant Interiors. My client prides themselves on great corporate culture as they ensure all employees have voices and treat them as big fish in a small pond. They seek to bring people on that they can hire and promote down the road.

They pride themselves as a company that is much more results oriented. They want you to be efficient and get your work done at a high level. Sometimes that will take 6 hours and day and sometimes it will take 10.

Description

• Report directly to the Director of Estimating
• Estimate specific trades on assigned projects
• Participate in the takeoff, bid, and budgeting processes
• Ability to work on more than one project at one time
• Review bid drawings and documents
• Attend and prepare for bid meetings
• Negotiate with subcontractors
• Create Project schedule and phases
• Assist in estimating change orders

Profile

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Currently working for a General Contractor as an Estimator or Senior Estimator
• Completed Hard Bids with General Contractor
• Bachelors Degree in construction, architecture, engineering is preferred
• Experience in estimating construction divisions 2-5 and 14-16 is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Proficient in Onscreen Takeoff
