Senior Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Solutions Architect Location: Remote with occasional travel to Washington, DC and Springfield, VA Marathon TS is seeking a Senior RPA Solutions Architect with 8 years of experience to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of robotic process automation solutions. We are looking for someone in the greater Washington DC area to spearhead RPA initiatives, providing both technical leadership and consulting services to our clients. This role will focus on developing scalable, maintainable RPA solutions and working closely with business and IT teams to ensure successful project delivery. This position supports the Department of Homeland Security (Client), specifically the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), as they expand the use of AI, machine learning, and RPA technologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of leadership, technical, and business experience, particularly in mission-oriented environments. We are especially looking for candidates that have worked in Client and have an active EOD/Client clearance. Your future duties and responsibilities: Lead the architectural design and development of RPA solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical best practices. Collaborate with government stakeholders, business analysts and developers, to analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities. Develop and maintain scalable RPA systems using platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism, and Appian. Oversee the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, testing, and deployment of automation solutions. Lead and mentor technical teams, conducting code reviews and ensuring coding standards are maintained. Work closely with compliance and security teams to ensure all automation solutions adhere to regulatory requirements, particularly within the Client environment. Continuously evaluate new technologies and industry trends to enhance RPA capabilities and integrate intelligent automation solutions. Ensure automation solutions are integrated efficiently and effectively into existing business processes and systems. Partner with Intelligent Process Automation architecture team to Learn and Implement best practices Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college, university, or academic institution in the United States. 8 years of experience in RPA solutions development and implementation, with proficiency in UiPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism, or similar platforms. 4 years' experience in object-oriented programming (C#, C, VB, Java, or Python preferred) 2 years of experience leading and managing large-scale Federal IT projects Advanced knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C#, Python, Java). Experience with databases and SQL for data extraction and manipulation. Ability to understand the business process and create process flow diagrams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to design technical solutions to business problems. Active Client EOD clearance (TSA preferred) or ability to obtain one. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Additional preferred qualifications: Previous experience working with UiPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism, and Appian. Familiar with Microsoft Azure or AWS services (e.g., Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Lambda Functions, Step Functions). Experience working in environments requiring Client Suitability Clearance is highly preferred. Experience working with AI/Client integrations in RPA. Previous work in Client or TSA environments is highly desirable. Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and will be required to pass a government background investigation.
