JOB TITLE: Senior Systems Engineer (Data Protection)
GOVERNMENT AGENCY: DOJ NSD - National Security Division
POSITION INFORMATION: Full-Time Position; Government contractor supporting DOJ NSD
LOCATION: Washington, DC (onsite)
POSITION TIMING: Position requires candidate to obtain SCI prior to starting; can take 2-4+ weeks to process

The Infrastructure Support and Software Development Services division provides all IT services necessary to support the NSD's Infrastructure & Operations as well as Software Development, Engineering, and Service Desk. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, optimize, maintain, upgrade, and document Data Protection (e.g. backup, snapshot, contingency plans) solutions.
- Ensure the restoration of a virtual machine on each network and each location meet the Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO).
- Perform the operation and maintenance activities of a systems administrator. Qualifications
- 10+ years of Systems Engineering/Administration experience
- Expertise with Data protection solutions - ie NetApp, Dell Appassure, Dell EMC, Veem, etc
- Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree, preferred
- Infrastructure Certifications, plus
- Active Top Secret, required WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
