Job description

Systems Engingeer opportunity - 100% remote! Candidates will be required to obtain a Public Trust Our client has an opening for a Systems Engineer to support the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) End User Support Services contract. The successful candidate will be a member of the engineering team responsible for working closely with other program groups such as Networking, Server Operations, Security, and Field Support teams to ensure the adherence of Engineering best practices and delivery of engineering products. This person will support gathering, documenting, reviewing, executing and delivering of System Designs, Requirements, Requirements Traceability Matrices, Test Plans, and Test Procedures as well as maintain current engineering documents in support of program initiatives and compliance directives. Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintains System Designs and Requirements documents.
• Map application/system requirements to existing and new test cases.
• Create test plans and procedures for functional, systems integration, regression testing, and test automation.
• Contribute significantly to technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding activities.
• Perform systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.
• Perform automation tasks through scripting and testing in addition to System Engineering tasks in support of program projects and activities. Basic Qualifications:
• BA/BS in software engineering/development, computer science, information technology, and a minimum 2 years of relevant experience or Masters with a 1-2 years of prior relevant experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of progressive IT experience focusing on Systems Engineering and Integration Testing.
• Knowledge of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) with direct experience supporting all phases
• Experience in installation and testing of the Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications to include Microsoft Office 365, Kofax PDF Advance, Acrobat PDF Reader, and Microsoft Edge.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in the usage and operation of Windows operating systems, servers and clients. (Windows server 2016/2019 and Windows workstation 10/11).
• Experience with stress testing tools (Selenium, Load Runner and/or Python).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and The ability to work well in a team setting Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience developing technical documentation including requirements, Requirements Traceability verification Matrix (RTVM), system designs, test procedures, transition plans and operation concept documents.
• Previous full cycle Integration and test experience.
• Ability to obtain HUD public trust clearance.
• Exposure to Cloud Concepts.
• Exposure to Project Management methodologies.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools.
• Exposure to document management / change management best practices.
