Job description

Duties You will coordinate with the Department Head in the planning for, defending, allocating, and executing the department's annual budget, to include contract and organization level programs. You will communicate authoritatively, both orally and written, to include senior level communications and support. You will fulfill the full breadth of first level line supervisor responsibilities, to include building and leading teams. You will establish department priorities to reflect customer requirements, and allocate resources to balance priorities among naval staff and fleet customer needs while building collaborative relationships and networks. You will work closely with the Department Head in leading the department's mission and be responsible for overseeing analysis and reporting of current intelligence and long-term research. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. This position requires a periodic polygraph examination. This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as: 1. Incumbent may be required to serve as a member of a Crisis Response Team (CRT). Must be able to be eligible for CAP/SAP/ACCM/Special Programs applicable to position. The Naval Warfare Department (NWD) provides detailed analysis of the operational and tactical military abilities of potential adversaries. NWD provides this dedicated, Fleet-focused support via four functionally aligned divisions - SWORD (undersea warfare), SPEAR (air warfare), SABER (surface warfare), and SPECTRUM (cyber/electronic warfare/C4ISR).
