Graham Technologies (GTECH) is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to work at our customer site in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in systems administration, including managing and maintaining servers, networks, and IT infrastructure in a secure environment. The System Administrator will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems that support core organizational functions. You will be happy to know that this is a hybrid position Responsibilities: Manage and maintain server and network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. Monitor and optimize system performance, conducting regular system maintenance and updates. Implement and maintain security protocols and procedures to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with security policies. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, supporting end-users as needed. Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and recovery processes are in place. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement new IT solutions and enhancements. Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures. Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in system administration and security. Qualifications: Active Top Secret (TS) clearance is required. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience. At least three years of experience in system administration, focusing on managing servers and networks in a secure environment. Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, and Unix. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls. Experience implementing and maintaining security protocols, including patch management, antivirus solutions, and intrusion detection systems. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or similar. Experience with cloud platform AWS. Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash. Experience in a government or defense contracting environment.
