Job description

This position focuses on enhancing IT infrastructure, optimizing operational processes, and supporting the integration of information applications and programs. The System Engineer will be responsible for the development, communication, and maintenance of enterprise architecture models, ensuring they align with the organization's business and technology activities. To succeed as a System Engineer III - MBSE, Cameo, strong technical, analytical, and project management abilities are essential. Additionally, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are critical to this role. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise in modeling and analyzing military systems and broader system-of-systems architectures.
Conduct trade studies and performance assessments to evaluate system and architectural alternatives for informed decision-making.
Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to define system functions and develop functional and performance requirements.
Develop architectural views using frameworks such as DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM) and Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
Analyze MBSE models to derive mission threads and use cases, supporting system-level verification planning.
Create business architecture models that align with organizational strategies and goals.
Evaluate systems engineering, recruitment, and accounting models to identify discrepancies and vulnerabilities.
Propose strategies to reduce costs in IT and business leadership.
Organize and conduct training to enhance employee skills for future organizational development.
Provide guidance on business architecture and system processes.
Ensure that systems are efficient, secure, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Develop methods for compliance architecture, including data storage, metadata management, and change control. Qualifications: Experience in System Engineering and Architecture & Design using Cameo.
Proficiency in DoDAF, SysML, and UML modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Extensive experience with MBSE, particularly using Cameo Enterprise Architect.
Familiarity with tools like Rational Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect, MATLAB, STK, AFSIM, Simulink, or Model Center.
Proven ability to use descriptive modeling for system engineering and architecture solutions.
Strong understanding of the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
Hands-on experience with Cameo and SysML applications.
Practical experience with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
Exceptional technical, analytical, and project management capabilities.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in modeling and creating graphical representations.
