Job Title: Mid-Level Systems Architect Job Category: IT Location: DC-area offices of the Chief Digital and AI Office in Falls Church, Pentagon, Alexandria, and Arlington. The Mid-Level Systems Architect designs and implements complex IT systems and solutions. The individual will analyze system requirements, create architectural designs, and ensure that systems are integrated and aligned with business objectives Job Responsibilities: Analyze and assess software development or data acquisition requirements and determine optimum, cost-effective solutions. Support and work with a hybrid team of analyst, engineers, and developers to conduct research, and build and deploy complex, but easy-to-use analytical capabilities and/or devise a plan for development.
Works with data scientists, UX designers, cognitive scientists, developers, and testers to compose cohesive and sound designs that form the basis of scalable solutions.
Optimizes software designs and architectures to deliver desired performance targets and devises tooling and methodologies to profile execution and capture performance metrics.
Significant experience in one or more scripting languages such as Python or R, Proficient in one or more big data programming languages, such as Python or Java
AI/ML model development, containerization, and productization experience
Knowledge Graph construction and reasoning experience, to include experience with property graph or RDF model frameworks.
Previous experience performing research in Data Analytics or Big Data
A significant share of your data analytics experience in direct support of military or intelligence community customers, demonstrating progressive technical development and mission-focused outcomes.
Significant experience dealing with open source, publicly available information (PAI) data sources and/or forensic media (i.e., DOMEX)
Previous experience developing predictive algorithms.
Familiarity with social network analysis, supply chain analysis, forensic accounting, pattern of life, natural language processing, social media analysis, classification algorithms, and/or image processing
Education: Bachelor's degree plus 7-10 years of experience, or a Master's degree plus 5 years of experience.
Experience: Experience with Elasticsearch and related indexing technologies
Experience supporting cyber security or network security operations
Experience blending analytical methodologies and leveraging existing COTS/GOTS/OS tools in unconventional manners
Certifications: Sec+ - Preferred TOGAF certification preferred. AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional Amazon Web Services
