Job description
MarathonTS is seeking a Technical Lead to support our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. We are seeking a Technical Lead to join our Agile project team in implementing and maintaining our MS Exchange/O365 environment. The ideal candidate will lead the day-today technical operations and maintenance. The technical lead will work with the project manager and subject area leads to maintain highly available systems, optimize Operations team efficiency, implement best practices, and provide technical guidance to government stakeholders. Technical Lead We are seeking a Technical Lead to join our Agile project team in implementing and maintaining our MS Exchange/O365 environment. The ideal candidate will lead the day-today technical operations and maintenance. The technical lead will work with the project manager and subject area leads to maintain highly available systems, optimize Operations team efficiency, implement best practices, and provide technical guidance to government stakeholders. Responsibilities: • Provide technical leadership to the IT CS Operations team that provides system operations, change management, configuration management, user support, IT security, and training. This team includes application, systems, and user support engineers who maintain the high availability of a portfolio MS Exchange "on-prim" environment. • Provide escalation technical support for Windows, Exchange, AirWatch Mobility, O365, and Office Online. • Provide escalation technical support for Physical and Virtual Systems. • Coordinate team efforts to resolve service interruptions and other operational issues. • Lead troubleshooting, recovery, and root cause analysis efforts. Coordinate with application leads for advanced troubleshooting support. • Communicate service interruptions and change activity to stakeholders including internal and client management, data center personnel, and other affected teams. • Proactively identify and coordinate change activity involving Operations, software development, and external stakeholder teams. • Develop and refine standard operating procedures for application support and maintenance. • Provide assistance to the Help Desk Manager and support team to resolve user support issues. • Collect and report operational metrics including service level agreement compliance. • Coordinate with application leads to deliver maintenance software releases. • Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and or reports as requested. • On-call and Weekend Maintenance hours are required. Required Skills • Minimum 6 years leading IT Technical Ops Teams supporting MS Exchange and software applications. • 2-3yrs. experience in Microsoft 365 AD administration • 4-5 yrs. experience in Windows AD administration • 4-5 yrs. experience in Microsoft Messaging products (Exchange 2013) • Microsoft PowerShell experience required. • Experience supporting Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) • Experience supporting AirWatch or similar Mobility Solution. • Able to monitor Active Directory, Exchange, Mobile Device Management, and regular system maintenance. • Strong technical background in systems administration and software application support. • Experience using tools such as ServiceNow for incident management and user support requests. • Change and configuration management experience. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Experience in relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team. • ITIL Certifications are preferred. CLEARANCE: U.S. Citizenship Must pass background investigation to obtain Public Trust.
