Thomas and Reed is placing a Trade Specialist at the Supply Chain Center in the International Trade Administration, Industry and Analysis Business Unit. The Government is seeking Contractors to provide dedicated international Trade Specialist services for the Supply Chain Center. The Supply Chain Center is a new program in I&A(Industry and Analysis), and the Contractor's services will be critical to establishing the groundwork for future economic analysis leveraging I&A's resources. The Contractors will be responsible for designing and conducting economic research and analysis related to the resilience of supply chains critical to the national security, economic strength, and public health and safety of the United States, develop data visualizations, briefing materials, presentations, and monitor current events related to supply chain. The Contractor will serve as a member of the Center's team, helping advance our efforts to leverage data and advanced analytics to anticipate supply chain risks, understand key supply chains well enough to proactively strengthen them, build our rapid reaction analysis capability, and support international engagements. The Contractor will be working both independently and collaboratively to perform research, analysis, and associated functions that address the Center's mission and to support or participate in briefings to senior officials. Trade Specialist: 1. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the issues, programs, initiatives, and policies that impact U.S. supply chain resilience and will be incorporated into the supply chain resilience framework.
2. Understand the methodologies and approaches for data-driven supply chain research.
3. Be able to interpret or develop clear visualizations of data modeling as part of the supply chain risk assessment process.
4. Participate in, or support principals' participation in, oral briefings on the supply chain risk assessment framework.
5. Collaborate with industry stakeholders during outreach effort to socialize the framework. 6. Prepare a variety of standard written materials and deliver formal briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
7. Assist with the planning and coordination of activities of the Supply Chain Center, as needed.
8. Work both independently and collaboratively to perform research, analysis, and associated functions that address the mission of the Supply Chain Center and are critical to ITA and interagency priorities and objectives. Prepare Briefing:
The Contractor shall provide high quality support in the drafting for briefing papers on various Trade related topics, including areas pertaining to the supply chain center.
• Reports on specific projects and deliverables.
• Briefing memos for senior officials using provided templates.
• Decision or information memos on policy recommendations related to supply chain work. Written Reports:
The Contractor support shall provide on-going analytical support to various topics and deep-dives as assigned by the center Director and leads.
