We are currently looking for an experienced VTC Engineer for a role on one of our Federal projects in Washington, DC. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure the current VTC infrastructure is functional and available.
• Constantly strive to increase infrastructure performance utilizing the latest technology and best implementation strategies.
• Perform regular updates and patch critical systems within the VTC environment.
• Provide customer insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.
• Utilize technical expertise to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in mission critical network.
• Provide insight to your team to better understand the network by turning VTC metrics into information and explaining their meaning.
• Provide and expand your skillset into areas like Cloud computing, software defined networking, and the latest enterprise CRM tools.
• Develop new methodologies and solve daily challenges to improve the client's VTC operations. Qualifications + Education: • Bachelor's degree with 5 to 8 years of related professional experience.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Active Security+ Certification.
• Experience with supporting videoconferencing (VTC) and collaborative A/V efforts.
• Knowledge of field engineering.
• Experience with introducing new hardware or software into a new or existing environments while minimizing disruption and mitigating risks.
• Experience working with Cisco routers, switches, codecs, VCS, desktops, and multipoint control units/bridges.
• Experience in the design, engineering, and installation of conference rooms.
• Good working knowledge of VTC daily operations; manage, maintain and configure current VTC infrastructure and IT systems.
• Familiarity with Cisco and Polycom ISDN and IP VTC/Telepresence systems endpoints, AMX, Extron, Crestron, and Cisco control systems and switches. Desired Qualifications
• Experience with Cloud computing architecture, deployments, and maintenance.
