THE POSITION The Enterprise Management, System Administration (SA) Journeyman for JSSC is responsible for supporting the functionality and efficiency of multiple JSSC operating systems, providing custom application development/administration that supports systems within the National Military Command Center (NMCC) Command and Control System (NCCS) Operating Environment (OE). RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical Support: You will provide administrative support for systems, custom interfaces, and applications, which includes database administration (Oracle), Windows Server administration, network infrastructure management, and software management in both production and testing environments. Complex Issue Resolution: You will independently analyze and resolve complex technical issues, applying your extensive expertise to develop innovative solutions that meet customer needs. Collaboration: You will work as part of a team with both government and contractor technicians to perform essential system and database administration functions. System Setup and Maintenance: You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining various Windows operating systems and related tools. Additionally, you will attend change and configuration control meetings and implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) to support Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM). Performance Monitoring: You will analyze diagnostics of applications and systems, developing methods to improve performance and address any challenges that arise. Custom Application Development: You will create and maintain custom applications and processes, including web applications and scripts. It is essential to ensure version control and provide software packaging and delivery support. System Architecture and Design: You will prepare system architecture and design requirements, guiding projects to successful completion while potentially taking on a leadership role within the team. Documentation and Analysis: You will review and evaluate system designs, documentation, test plans, and procedures. Additionally, you will identify upgrade needs and anticipate customer requirements. Cybersecurity Compliance: You will support cybersecurity policies and maintain the security posture of the systems and hardware you manage. Effective Communication: You will interact with customers and leadership to explain complex technical issues and solutions clearly, both in writing and verbally. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION On-site at the Pentagon Video interviews will be conducted QUALIFICATIONS Required Minimum active Top-Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI); AND, High school diploma; AND, DoD 8570 / 8140 Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT-II) CompTIA Security+CE; AND, 10 years providing system/database administration support to include customer application development, or similar.
