How you make a difference:
The Accounting Clerk position is responsible for managing and maintaining the General Ledger (G/L) entries and processing Accounts Payable (A/P). The role requires a detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational skills to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all accounting records and transactions. The Accounting Clerk is accountable for the maintenance of an approved system of records and must possess excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with other departments to provide exceptional support to the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist Financial Analyst in completing A/P duties, correspondence, and reports.

Prepare monthly expense reports and maintain records of paid invoices.

Communicate with officials and professionals across the state and country.

Handle confidential information professionally and work effectively with all levels of authority.

Process A/P batches, research discrepancies, monitor G/L entries, and reconcile balance sheets.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Education

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Experience

Five years previous accounts payable experience and/or general accounting and balance sheet reconciliation knowledge with computer skills and must be detail oriented.
