Overview

Gallagher's Risk Control team is seeking a Manager for our South Florida territory. Come join an excellent team with a focus in our construction industry!

How you'll make an impact

Accountable for performance and oversight in leading a team within an area of a region or regions or specialty group. Ensures Risk Control talent delivers consistent, positive operational results by delivering defined service offerings by successfully executing agreed to processes. Manages and develops a high performing team by being a champion for client advocacy, teamwork, knowledge sharing and commitment to people development. Proactively monitors and measures team performance against established service levels. Consistently achieves or exceeds productivity and performance metrics by identifying continuous improvement opportunities and leading the effort to implement change. Identifies, facilitates, leads, and/or participates in projects to continually improve services, which includes projects and initiatives with a National scope. Builds carrier partnerships and leads national best practices. Responsibile for direct team leadership including talent acquisition, development, engagement and identifying and preparing for appropriate succession plans.

About You

Required: Bachelor's degree with 7+ years' experience as a safety/risk/loss control consultant in the insurance broker or carrier environments, or as a safety technician/manager in private industry. Strong knowledge of federal and state safety codes and standards including OSHA, EPA, and/or DOT requirements. Ability to travel and work beyond normally scheduled workweek as necessary. Prior experience designing and implementing productivity and Risk Control Services improvements. Effective communicator at all levels.

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety, Fire Protection, Risk Management and the following certifications

Preferred: Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP). 5+ years' experience leading a team preferred and/or 10+ years with a technical discipline or industry niche.

Behaviors: Demonstrates positive leadership behaviors. Able to balance the unique needs of our clients while maximizing operational efficiency. Successfully manages competing priorities.
