Senior Director of Parish, Schools, and Community Services
Department: Parish, Schools, and Community Services
Reports to: VP for Development
Educational or Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience Requirements: Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit leadership, with three years in a senior management role.
Position Summary: The Senior Director of Parish, Schools, and Community Services provides leadership and oversight for advancing engagement and faith in action offerings as well as directing the Outreach Priest donor acquisition program. This role focuses on cultivating relationships with parishioners, school leaders, community stakeholders, and donors to support the ministry's mission and financial goals.

• Strong understanding of Catholic Church structures, tradition, and values.
• Ability to travel domestically for meetings and individual donor visits and to accompany donors and staff on international vision/mission trips in developing countries.
• Technical: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and fundraising software; knowledge of donor management systems preferred.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and media relations.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate vision into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
• Financial Acumen: Strong budget management skills and ability to analyze financial data.
• Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders including donors, clergy, and community leaders.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to motivate and lead teams towards achieving organizational goals.
• Ethical Fundraising: Commitment to ethical fundraising practices and stewardship of donor relationships.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Planning:
• Develop and implement strategic plans in collaboration with senior leadership to enhance parish programs, educational initiatives, faith in action, and community outreach efforts.
• Align departmental goals with the ministry's mission and financial targets.
• Partner with senior leadership to formalize messaging and strategic vision, ensuring alignment in cultivating and stewarding relationships with stakeholders.
Outreach Priests and Acquisition:
• Manages the acquisition strategy for Outreach Priests (OP's) to expand the donor base and enhance fundraising outcomes.
• Conducts regular analysis of needs and trends, and implements strategic adjustments aligned with ministry objectives.
• Oversees the recruitment, training, and support of Outreach Priests to meet the demand for assignments.
Community Engagement and Partnership Building:
• Lead initiatives to engage parishioners, school communities, and local organizations in ministry activities and community service projects.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships to expand support and visibility for ministry initiatives.
Fundraising, Stewardship and Donor Relations:
• Oversee stewardship of relationships with donors and stakeholders to nurture long-term engagement and support.
• Implement effective communication strategies to enhance donor relations and support fundraising efforts.
Financial Management and Reporting:
• Manage departmental budgets and financial resources, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports to support budgeting and planning processes.
• Monitor and uphold set process protocol for organization and department related to donor records and data governance.
Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and Christian values.

• Establish performance goals and provide guidance to staff in achieving departmental objectives.
• Champion collaboration with all Development vertical stakeholders to develop comprehensive strategies for community engagement, fundraising, acquisition, and legacy gift planning.
