Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Marketing & New Business Development . This role involves supporting our agents and leadership by managing compensation processes, creating analytical reports, and ensuring the accuracy of commission payments. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct follow-up calls to Producers on leads.
  • Assist in creating SharePoint sites and other marketing materials.
  • Calculate commission payments for agents and markets using pre-programmed spreadsheets and insurance company statements.
  • Analyze the current market payout grid for discrepancies and identify areas with the greatest retention.
  • Develop tracking spreadsheets for settlements.
  • Provide direct support to agents in resolving compensation issues with carriers or markets.
  • Monitor carrier renewals for both NY State and Non-NY State business.
  • Learn and utilize additional computer and cloud-based tools to create analytical reports and processes for management.
  • Manage the creation of staff website logins for carrier websites.
  • Generate and distribute monthly pending reports to agents and leadership.
  • Expand renewal tracking and forecast future renewals.
  • Restructure reporting functionality to be more dynamic as the business evolves.
  • Download and archive carrier statements corresponding to the daily ACH report.
  • Monitor changes in carrier and market contracts to update the customized compensation grid.
  • Provide monthly reports to certain markets and management.
  • Participate in special initiative projects and other duties as assigned.
Primary Skills & Requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with proficiency in using technology for managing electronic copies of statements and reports, email requests, and cloud-based tasks.
  • High attention to detail and good memory.
  • Professional communication skills, both clear and concise.
  • Ability to adapt to new and unforeseen situations.
  • Discretion in handling and controlling sensitive information and documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating new spreadsheets.
  • Interest and skills in financial analysis, with a desire to increase responsibilities in this area.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study.
