About Client:

The client is a private aerospace manufacturer and spaceflight services company, which aims to make access to space more affordable and reliable through the development of reusable rocket technology. It has several ambitious projects in progress, including its New Shepard suborbital rocket, designed for space tourism and research missions, and the New Glenn orbital launch vehicle, intended to compete with SpaceX's Falcon rockets in the commercial satellite launch market.

The client has also been involved in developing lunar landers and other technologies to support NASA's Artemis program, which aims to return humans to the Moon and eventually establish a sustainable human presence there.

Rate Range: $30-$33/Hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join our team in producing high-performance fabric solutions for space applications. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of industrial sewing experience, be able to use standard measuring devices and possess the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Operate a variety of industrial sewing machines to produce quilted products according to quality and quantity requirements.

Set up all types of sewing machines, including loading fabric, thread, and bobbins.

Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on sewing machines.

Sew and assemble materials as per work specifications and drawings.

Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.

Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and quality standards.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of industrial sewing experience

Ability to use standard measuring devices.

Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination

Good communication and teamwork skills

Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a fast-paced development environment.

Cuts materials, according to specifications, or cuts excess material or thread from a finished product, using a blade, scissors, or electric knife.

Maintains workstation in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion, and performs job duties is a safe and efficient manner.

Assist as needed in the training of new operators.
