Concrete Laborer - Block Tender AM or PM

$18.00/hour, OT rate: $27.00

Hours:

5am - 5pm 12 hour rotating shift, will work from 60-72 hours in a week

5pm-5am, 12 hour rotating shift, will work from 60-72 hours in a week

Warehouse Concrete Labor yard.

Inspect concrete blocks. Push blocks along rollers and arrange them to be placed onto pallets.

Mechanically inclined

Heavy lifting, loading and unloading.

Forklift experience preferred.

General clean up around the plant. Shoveling, sweeping and raking up debris.

Must have steel toe safety boots.

Position Overview

Your primary responsibility is to perform a wide range of operational duties geared towards the efficient and accurate production of Block products. You must foster teamwork, positive work environment and overall safety of yourself and others.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Must be able to efficiently operate a forklift.

You must have the ability to stand on your feet for prolonged periods of time.

Must assist other staff with the general cleanliness of the facility.

Ability to quickly learn and execute other operational functions as needed.

Properly follows & promotes all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

Must be able to maintain an acceptable attendance record in a flexible work schedule.

Must always maintain a strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures.

May perform other related duties as required or directed.

Must be available to travel and work from other company facilities as needed.

Must possess a professional attitude while interacting with peers, contractors & public.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to the clients guidelines.

Education/Experience

Two years of related industry experience preferred but not required.

Work Requirements

Must be willing to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays when necessary.

Must be legally authorized to work in The United States.

Must demonstrate a strong commitment to Safety.

Regular and timely attendance is required.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

Ability to use basic hand tools.
