Job Description PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST AWEF Open Position Request Number R-II-24 CLASSIFICATION: Program Management Support Specialist GRADE: Exempt, Regular Full-time REPORTS TO: AWEF Supervisor ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Use independent judgment in solving detailed, nonstandard problems in support of AWEF projects while coordinating with Government personnel to ensure safety and security standards are met within the AWEF requirements. Monitor all facility projects to ensure personnel are being assigned appropriately, and to alert Site Management of personnel assignment shortfalls. Additionally, job functions include the development, review and dissemination of directive status and overall budget. Works to maintain project schedule and provides recommendations for corrections to schedule as required. Maintains status of project budget, tracks and reports Earned Value management to ensure spending is within the budget. Uses discretion and independent judgment to interpret project support requirements. Prepares formal documentation for describing overall support as it applies to the current project/customer support; writing work orders for internal/contract support; and preparing purchase request supporting documentation as needed. May provide project support briefings as needed to senior management and/or government personnel as required. GENERAL DUTIES: Reports to the AWEF Supervisor providing all project support details as required. Responsible for scheduling personnel assignments for project requirements and directives. Responsible for all assisted support in managing AWEF related projects and testing. As the AWEF Project Management Support Specialist, this job is to plan, budget, coordinate, and document all aspects of the specific projects for which the AWEF is responsible. Ensure that all projects maintain a time frame, within scope and within budget. This requires working closely with RT&T AWEF management, test engineers, and site personnel to ensure that the project requirements are met. Will provide guidance to AWEF employees at the appropriate level concerning project support requirements. Will provide support to AWEF Management in order to help alleviate their workload. Will work closely with Test Engineers to elevate any issues in production with purchased materials, completion of orders and labor reports. Will use PIMS in order to effectively schedule correctly trained personnel to Directives. Works under the guidance of the AWEF supervisor. Job Requirements OTHER DUTIES : Other duties will include, but are not limited to, review of pertinent directive information, JON management, and coordination with the proper agencies in order to meet the requirements for working in an enhanced secure environment. Must have skills and abilities in project support software applications, such as PIMS Service Order Module and MS Excel for cost tracking, planning and analysis. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : This position requires an Associate's degree or certification in a related field. Experience in the administrative field and familiarity with government contract concepts, practices and procedures is required. Previous experience in project management principles is highly desired. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable. Must be computer literate, possess written and verbal communication skills, be able to prepare and verify reports for accuracy and completeness. OTHER REQUIREMENTS : This position requires a Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Must meet requirements to work in enhanced security environments. All selected candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation and drug test as a condition of placement into this position. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work activities are normally performed in an environmentally controlled area. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position will be subject to substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; and requires standing, sitting, bending and very little lifting or moving of heavy objects or materials.
