Job Description STOCK CLERK Support Department Logistics Open Position Request Number R-75-24 CLASSIFICATION: Stock Clerk; CBA Rate $21.13/hr GRADE: Non-Exempt; Regular Full-time REPORTS TO: Supervisor POSTING DATE: Internal (10/15/2024); External (10/21/24) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, or tools and complies stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse and storage yard. Sorts or weighs incoming items to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice, examines stock to verify conformance to specifications, stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material, fills orders or issues supplies from stock, prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock, and requisitions articles to fill incoming orders. Stock Clerk will process incoming property and material. Match items to purchase request and / or purchase order and process accordingly. Assignments require a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced. Stock Clerk will have extensive knowledge and experience in warehouse operations and shipping and receiving. GENERAL DUTIES: This position works with minimal guidance from the section lead. This position performs limited aspects of supply management such as material pick up, inspection, delivery, inventory management, storage, cataloging and utilization reporting related to depot, local or other supply activities. This position is responsible for the shipping and turn-in of property and/or materials across the contract. Job Requirements OTHER DUTIES: Position performs other functions as needed such as general housekeeping of assigned work area, work-center safety monitor, security, facility management, vehicle upkeep, etc. May be required to pick up, inspect, deliver, inventory and update records. Operation of government owned vehicles is required, must have and must maintain a current, valid State driver's license and qualify for a government driver's license. Courier duties, to include pick-up and delivery of TMDE. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Familiarity with the interlocking policies associated with a contractor-operated supply system highly desirable. A thorough knowledge of warehouse, receiving, storage, cataloging and consumption of inventory principles is required. Must be familiar with use of electronic-based data collection systems to input data and produce reports in order to obtain the desired results. Good attention to detail is required to match purchase records with delivery receipts to ensure property received meets ordering criteria. Knowledge necessary to train lower grade supply clerks will be a necessity in this position. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. All selected candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation and drug test as a condition of placement into this position. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement. WORK ENVIRONMENT : Will be required to work both inside and outside under a wide range of temperature and humidity and must be capable of operating various kinds of mechanized material handling equipment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires bending, stooping, standing and climbing. Normal duties require extensive lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds and transporting heavy items using a hand-truck or forklift.
